Once again we find ourselves with.....no stamps.....no cards and running late at Christmas. But we want SOME way to tell all the wonderful people we are proud to call our friends and family that we truly are thinking of you and want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous year in 2006! (And we hope you have lots more joy than poor GRANDMA cleaning up those pine needles!)
In May, we took a 1200 mile trip to see our son Matt and daughter-in-law Sarah in Plano, Texas. Click on the picture to see more pictures of their lovely home and a few details on our trip.
In late June, we traveled to Alaska. (You'll see that Ann was far too intelligent to travel to Alaska by motorcycle like Harry did in 2002.) Click on the picture of the whale tail to see a few more pictures from this beautiful trip.
Labor Day Sunday, we hosted the 17th Annual Tour de Valley Century Ride. We ended up with over 200 riders finishing either the full 100 mile ride or the 100Kilometer ride. (Ann & Harry did the shorter ride of about 64 miles, but one week later we rode the full 102 mile course at the annual Harrisonburg Century). Click the picture to see more from the century and about our bicycle club: Milepost Zero.
Last year, we left you with this horrid shot of our front entrance hall. Click on the picture to see how that project turned out and some of the other construction projects (or destruction projects) Harry has made Ann put up with in 2005.
In 2005, Ann gave in to Harry's Nagging and rejoined the Waynesboro Choral Society. What a pleasure to once again be dancing with my favorite partner! Click to see a little more about our fun times with the Choral Society.
And what else occupied our time in 2005?
We're still members of Finley Memorial Presbyterian Church
Ann is still teaching at Stuarts Draft Middle School (but the plan is not much longer!)
Harry is still working at INVISTA (the artist formerly known as DuPont) and still enjoying SOME of what he does there as well as the people he works with (including many of you!)
Harry is still chairman of the Waynesboro Planning Commission
We're both still members of the Shenandoah Valley HOG chapter (Harleys Owners Group)
We're still riding our 2 wheeled toys (bicycles & motorcycles)
We're still looking after Harry's father who is still in Baldwin Park in Staunton
We once again participated in the GOLDEN MILE fundraiser for the Daily Living Center (and Harry is still a board member).
We attended Harry's High School Reunion in Roanoke, Va. The BIG 40!
For gosh sake's Ann, no wonder I don't find time to help you with housework!
